Long Time No SEE


I am so sorry for the Drop off :) My hubby and I have been super busy ... But I have stayed on track with my Lifestyle Change! I have seen some amazing results in me and I have heard some amazing stories from others who have read this blog! I am so happy that it has stirred some hearts to be more cautious with what you put into your body .... and remember .... You dont have to give up EVERYTHING you love. Moderation is key, and know that your body being healthy is the ultimate result that we are trying to achieve!


I just recently did the Master Cleanse for two days and lost 4LBS on top of the 6LBS I have already lost in 24 Days!! AMAZING IS WHAT I AM THINKING! The master cleanse is :

1/2 Lemon

2 Tablespoons of Grade B Maple syrup

a Pinch of cayenne pepper

8 oz water


Do this on the hour every hour for the entire day .... you will see some amazing Cleansing going on! You can visit the website or buy the book at your local health food store!

My hubby and I leave this Friday on a 9 Day vacation and we are SO excited! After we return we both are going to start our 21 day Daniel Fast! Encoragement My Friend!

Hope you are all doing well on your New Lifestyle Change! I apologize that i haven't blogged in a while! We have had family in town and I have been working Lot's. I hope that you are staying on track and also staying motivated to get healthy in 2010!
I am on a 30 Day journey (until the end of January) to begin my new healthy lifestyle! I realize that the results I am wanting , will take more than 30 days. These 30 days are to serve as a jump start! I already have seen some GREAT results, and I feel amazing!
This blog is going to be the ENCOURAGEMENT BLOG!! I want to encourage you to keep going and stay on track!
Here are some helpful hints:
1. Pay attention to the negative effects your current (bad choices for food) have on your body, moods, and energy level. Feel free to start a little journal, writing what you eat and drink throughout the day and how you feel as a result.
2. Recognize that anything worth having is worth fighting for. Good health, vitality, more energy, and more confidence is what you are working towards!
3. No Excuses about not having the time! You are important! Your Health is Important!! GET GOING!! Love yourself enough to do whatever it takes to be the best you can be!
4. An important part of any recovery program for addiction- and unhealthy eating is an addiction - is taking one day at a time. Don't torture yourself with thoughts of, "How will I live without ___________?" Just take it one meal at a time. Don't think ahead with dread and anguish!
5. I hope that you have been encouraged to get rid of Dirty Vice items. Whether it is coffee, sugar, certain dairy, or certain meats ... you are making a NEW choice to start healthy! Acknowledge that no vice item will EVER make you feel happy or whole or satisfied.
6. Every week, rid one more thing from you life. Until you're completely cleansed your life of poison and toxins, eliminate one at a time!
7. Always remember to think "PORTION"! The Portion should be decided on beforehand, should be smaller than you would normally have. The package should be put away before you start eating!
8. Eat at the Table! Eat very slowly! Take note of how you feel while you're eating it, immediately after, an hour later, in bed that night, and the next day!

Safety Last!

Here are Two Crazy Facts for the day:
Crazy Fact 1:
Out of 35 Million cattle slaughtered in 2003, the USDA only tested 20,000 for mad cow disease (japan tests all of their cattle killed for human consumption) Let us hope that number has changed in the past few years!
Of course it wouldn't be in a ranchers best interest to test all of his cattle. If they were inflicted with mad cow disease, he couldn't sell their meat, and he'd lose money. Heaven forbid the USDA risk a rancher's profits!
Crazy Fact 2:
The EPA Makes me SICK! Clearly, nothing is sacred to the group that allows rocket fuel in our milk supply. Yeah, you heard right. Rocket fuel. In milk. Thanks to the Pentagon, ammonium perchlorate, the main explosive component in rocket fuel, has been lurking around our environment for decades. It finds it's way into water use for growing feed crops to cattle. Cows eat these contaminated crops, with the result being contaminated milk. Whether you are drinking milk or eating dairy products made with the milk, you are ingesting perchlorate. And the EPA actually makes allowances for a "provisional daily safe dose." I'm sorry, but where I am from -Earth- there is no acceptable amount to ingest where explosive components are concerned!

The Dairy Disaster!


Before I get started on the Dairy Disaster... I just want to say how blessed I feel to have the amount of feedback that I am receiving from all my friends and family! Your encouragement, support, and excitement keeps me going!
I am also overwhelmed with the amount of people who are following my suggestions! I cant wait to hear about your success stories! Thank you for your support!
DAIRY DISASTER!
Before I get into the facts, I just want to say that I have not Touched milk, cheese or eggs from the grocery store since I have learned the following information! I don't expect my readers to make these Major decisions. I only hope that you begin to just "think" about what your putting into your body!
OK. Time to do some thinking ...
Breast milk can grow an 8-pound toddler. Sounds pretty fattening, huh? It is. By design, it is intended to allow for the biggest growth spurt of a person's entire life!
Breast milk alone can accommodate for a 300 percent weight gain in a twelve-month period.
Cows, like all mammals, are much the same. There is one major difference, however. cows' milk, by design, grows a 90-pound calf into a 2,000-pound cow over the course of two years! It allows calves's to double their birth weight in forty-seven days and leaves their four stomachs feeling full. Sounds even more fattening than human milk right? IT IS! It should be. cows are bigger than humans. And the inner workings of their bodies are completely different than ours, which they should be. They are cows. WE ARE HUMANS!
We are the ONLY species on the planet that drinks milk as adults! We are also the only species on the planet that drinks the milk of another species! Crazy huh?
We all have been told our whole lives, "You need milk to grow, without milk, your bones will break! You need the calcium."
WAIT ! Are you sure you have been told the truth?
Researchers of Harvard, Yale, Penn Sate, and the National Institutes of Health have studied the effects of dairy intake on the bones. Not one of these studies found dairy to be a deterrent to osteoporosis. On the contrary, a study founded by the National Dairy Council itself revealed that the high protein content of dairy actually leaches calcium from the body! Yale University found that the countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis-including the United States, Sweden, and Finland-were those in which people consumed e most meal, milk, and other animal foods!
Another study shows that though 40 Million American woman have osteoporosis, only 250,000 African women have bone disease. In fact, of the forty tribes in Kenya and Tanzania, only one -the Maasai- has members suffering form osteoporosis. The Maasai, as it happens, are cattle-owning, milk-drinking tribe!
Let's pretend for a moment that cow's milk is healthy for humans. Even if it were, by the time factory farms were done with it, it wouldn't be. Dioxin, one of the most toxic substances in the world, is often found in Dairy products.
When you consume dairy products, you are ingesting the same antibiotics,pesticides, steroids, and hormones! Cows are injected with bovine growth hormone. Their udders, in normal conditions, would supply about ten pounds of milk a day. Greedy farmers have their cows producing up to a hundred pounds of milk a day!
Come on people! :) There is no gentle farmer milking the cow with a bucket between his feet. Cows are milked by machine; metal clamps are attached to the cows' sensitive udders. The udders become sore and infected. Pus forms. But the machines keep on milking, sucking the dead white blood cells into the milk. HOW GROSS IS THAT!
To get rid of all the bacteria and other crap, milk must be pasteurized. But pasteurization destroys beneficial enzymes and makes calcium less available without even killing all the viruses of bacteria! Heck, even radioactive particles are found in milk!
People, you will pee your pants when you see how much weigh you lose from giving up dairy! The fat in cheese is what gives it the taste and texture we love! Of the calories found in cheese, 70 to 80 percent come from fat!
Luckily, there are many alternatives to dairy products! A personal favorite-tasting milk substitute is Rice Dream (original Enriched), which is fortified with vitamins and calcium. Instead of butter, try Earth Balance Natural buttery Spread or Soy Garden Natural Buttery Spread, both made from nonhydrogenated oils.
Can't give up ice cream? You don't have to (dad). Soy Delicous has incredible knock-offs, which are completely dairy free. They even make must-have flavors, such as chunky mint madness, cookie avalanche, rocky road, and peanut butter zigzag!
Are you a cheese addict? No problem. follow your heart's vegan gourmet makes a WONDERFUL substitute in mozzarella, Monterey jack, and nacho.

The Dead, Rotting, Decomposing Flesh Diet

Can you Handle the Truth?
Today I am going to be shedding some light on the meat that we daily put into our bodies! Some of this may be new to you ... that is OK :) I encourage you to do further research on the things you daily put into your body!
HERE WE GO ...
The second we put food in our mouths, the digestion process begins, thanks to our saliva. Guess what? Or alkaline saliva is not meant to break down animal flesh? Bet ya didn't know that!
Like it or not, our kidney's colon, and liver are ill-equipped to process animal flesh. Compared to carnivores, our intestines are very long, so food that doesn't get adequately processed becomes clogged in our intestines.
Animals quickly pass food through their digestive systems, but we have good rotting, decomposing, and fermenting in our intestinal tracts and colons, hence the need for colonics! You don't see any tigers getting colonics, do you? Genetically and structurally, we are designed to thrive on plant food. Whether it is "lean meat" or "skinless chicken breast," Animal fat is still animal fat! Just think back to the garden of Eden ... what where they eating?
OK. Let us keep moving into the depths of what is in our meat!
Here are some interesting facts about the Meat you EAT:
1. Half of all the antibiotics made in the United States each year are administered to farm animals, causing antibiotic resistance in the humans who eat them!
2.American farmers started using chemical pesticides in the late 1800's and were initially thrilled with the results. However, it was eventually noticed that pesticides were killing those who were most exposed to them: Farmers, field workers, and animals!
The food and Drug Administration's own total diet study found that bacon had 48 different pesticide residues, bologna and other luncheon meats had 102 different industrial pollutants and pesticides, fast food hamburgers had 113 residues, hot dogs had 123, and ground beef had 82 industrial chemical and pesticide residues, just to name a few!
3. Here is something that will make you say ... WHAT! Many animals are even given arsenic-laced drugs. ARSENIC! Chemical pesticides are often sprayed directly onto the skin of animals to ward of parasites, insects, rodents, and fungi! What is this doing to the people who eat them?
Know that closing your eyes to the problem will not make it go away! You don't want to see it, but you'll eat it!
There are tons of awesome, soy based fake meat products on the market, which are great for transitions away from meat. Not only do they taste great, but soy has been know for lowering cholesterol, protecting against cancer, and reducing heart attacks!
Veggie burgers exist by the dozen. Health is wealth makes fake buffalo wings that taste REALLY good! Gardenburgers flame-grilled chik's is so amazing! Lightlife has a great line of "cold cuts" and fabulous "bacon"!
GARDEIN is a great Brand (you can get it about anywhere) that is animal-free and tastes incredible!

Re-Boot!

A great Workout to get started today : Beginner Workout
Let us Begin to Re-Boot and stay on Course for the Life Style change we have embarked on!!
Today I am going to give you the tools to Dump your fridge and Re-boot and get started for the New Year. I want to remind you that I too have had to make these changes! I know that the process can be hard, but it is going to Pay off!!
OK. Let's start with the facts today! 80 Million Americans go on diets at the start of every New Year!! Those 80 Million spend around 40 billion dollars to make that life change (groceries, workout equipment, etc). By Valentines Day 80 % of those 80 Million break the vow, and give up! How do we change this? Well, I am going to give you some HUGE hints!!
#1- It Not about your Weight, It is about your WAIST!
To get started, you need to measure you waist.
Measure at the bellybutton.
Your waist should NEVER measure above 1/2 your height! If it is, you are at Major risk for heart disease and other bad disasters!
Guys should NEVER be over 40 inches, and girls should never be over 37 inches!
Measure your waist weekly!
#2 - Dump the Fridge!
We all have 5 Foods we need to get out of our homes!
1.SIMPLE SUGARS (like Jelly and juices)
2. SYRUPS
Replace these two items with whole fruits (strawberries, oranges, bananas,etc)
3. WHITE FLOWERS (Pizza Rolls)
White flower means, They have taken out all the Nutrients that was originally there! Not GOOD FOR YOU IN ANY WAY!
Replace with: Look on the package and look for things that say 100% whole grain!
4. SATURATED FATS (sausage and other meats)
These are fats that come from animals and clog your arteries!
Replace with: Things that say "No saturated fat" on the meat labels!
5. TRANS FAT
If you see the phrase "partially hydrogenated vegetable oils" on the Label , stay away!
Always look at the labels top 5 ingredients !
The phrase "Partially hydrogenated vegetable oils" means, they took a fat that was nice and flexible, and made it Rigid! They do this to extend shelf life. It of course does this, but at the cost of shortening human life!
FRIED FOODS have tons of trans fat in it!
A great snack that has little trans fat in it is: A Rice cake with peanut butter and raisins on it!
#3-Watch your Plate Size
Dinner should always be served on a nine inch plate (most plates are 12.5-13 inches- Do not eat from these)
#4- other Helpful Hints
1. Go Public! Let people know what you are doing! It helps hold you accountable to get healthy!
2. Weekly take your waist size, not your weight!
I have removed my scale from my home! I want to measure my waist and also focus on how I feel! Some of us get way obsessed with the pounds! Dont worry... your going to lose the pounds... but that doesn't matter as much as the inches!
3. Have your LDL Cholesterol taken! Your number should always be under 100.
4. Stress causes weight gain in your waist!!
I love taken Passion Flower! I add 2-3 drops in my tea, once a day. It has been said, that it is better than prescription drugs for stress and anxiety!
5. Start working out!!
I recommend the link at the top for beginners who are just getting started!

Alkaline could Cure Cancer?

The following, is something new that I have just heard from many sources. I am truly intrigued by this information, and I encourage you to also do research on the matter :)
First of all, We must understand why ALKALINE could cure cancer!
Our bodies have a natural pH balance, which is the balance between acid and alkaline. according to Lymphoma Nation, various test tube studies have shown that tumors and cancer cells tend to grow faster in acidic environments, and that chemotherapy works better on tumors surrounded by an alkaline environment! Therefore, those who believe in Alkaline cures believe that we can make our bodies more alkaline and less acidic by eating Alkaline foods and refraining from eating acidic foods!
When our bodies get too acidic, we are much more prone to illness. Sometimes, we don't even know we're sick until it's too late. But, we can notice Mild things, like skin problems, allergies, headaches, colds, or other infections!
If pH balance becomes too acidic, our bodies will react to protect themselves. To neutralize the acid, they will take alkalizing minerals from our reserves. If our reserves are low, the body will withdraw minerals from our bones and muscles! If that doesn't scare you, consider this: it is commonly believed that cancer cells thrive in ACID environments!
Now, logically, you would think that citrus fruits are acidic, but actually, when they enter the body, they are alkalizing! They contain potassium and calcium, which are alkalizing minerals!!
Something I HIGHLY recommend eating Daily, is My Alkaline mixture :) I have been drinking this mixture (told to me by a person who cured their cancer by doing it) Daily!! Although I do not have cancer, I do want to keep my body balanced and Healthy! You will notice a HUGE difference in how you feel by drinking this daily!!
What you Need:
1 Blender (Juicer)
1 Handful of Spinach leaves (walmart sales this in a plastic container)
1 Handful of Frozen Dole Strawberries (must be frozen Dole)
1 Handful of Frozen Dole Pineapple (must be frozen Dole)
1 Banana
A bit of water and MIX!!!
Drink this mixture daily and you will notice something wonderful happening in your body!!!
I also encourage you to eat onions, lettuce, ginger, broccoli, carrots, celery, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, cucumber, parsley, basil, kidney beans, olive oil, lemons, limes and watermelon because these are considered alkaline foods!
Please refrain from eating meat, dairy products, sugar, white flour, and pasta because these are acidic foods!
According to Cancer Cure.org there are medical professionals, most notable Carl J. REich, M.D. and Bob Barefoot, who endorse the alkaline diet as an effective alternative therapy for cancer.

Let's Get Going?


OK. I want to show all my readers that I too am cleaning out the junk in my life :) Here is a picture of my fridge today ... I am starting to make better choices. What does your fridge look like?

Again, try to find a starting place in your life and begin to clear out some gross vices!

Today I want to touch on some very important issues! First of all, I want to ask you a question! Are you a pill popper? Do you reach for over-the-counter medicine for every sniffle, sneeze, ache, and pain? Let toughen up a bit. Our bodies, when properly cared for, function as a perfect machine (The Lord knew what He was doing). Our brains tell us when something is wrong by giving us pain or discomfort. When we pop pills to rid this "dis-ease," we are masking the symptoms without resolving the problem. Every time we take medicine, we interfere with our body's natural ability to heal itself. You are alleviating those intelligent responses that alert you to a problem, and sending false signals to our brain! Maybe we just need to re-think pill popping and start thinking about eating better and exercising!

Exercising can become fun and addictive! When we are active enough to break a sweat, our brains release endorphins. Exercise burn calories, improves circulation, regulates, defines muscles, builds strength, and detoxifies the body through sweating! I recommend Jillian Michael's 30 Day shred! It is Wonderful!

In my picture(above), I am sure you see fruit! EAT IT! Fruit is, quite possibly, the most perfect food in existence. It is unique in that it barely requires any work to be digested! High in enzymes, it effortlessly passes through the body, supplying carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, and cancer-fighting tannins and flavonoids(Vitamin P). Because it is made up of mostly water, fruit hydrates the body and aids in cleansing, detoxifying, and eliminating!

Soda is Liquid Satan!


Okay. The first thing you need to do if you want to get healthy is give up your gross vices!
Brace yourselves: Soda is liquid Satan for your body!
For starters, soda's high levels of phosphorous can increase calcium loss from the body, as can its sodium and caffeine! Bone loss =Osteoporosis!
Not to mention that it is loaded with sugar by the boatloads!
Now don't go patting yourself on the back if you drink diet soda. That stuff is even worse! Aspartame (that is found in diet soda) has been blamed for a slew of scary maladies, like arthritis, birth defects, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer's Lupus, multiple sclerosis, and diabetes! Not to mention when methyl alcohol and aspartame enters your body, it turns into Formaldehyde (this is cancer causing)!
The FDA has received more complaints about aspartame than any other ingredient to date! Want more bad news? When aspartame(found in diet soda) is paired with carbs, it causes your brain to slow down its production of serotonin. A healthy level of serotonin is needed to be happy and well balanced. So drinking soda can make you overweight, sick, and unhappy!
Ok. Those of you that are Coffee drinkers... you may want to re-think it! Think about how widely accepted it has become that people need coffee to wake up! you should not need anything to wake up. If you can't wake up without it, its because you are either addicted to caffeine, sleep deprived, or you just might be plain unhealthy!
Caffeine can cause headaches, digestive problems, irritation of the stomach and bladder, peptic ulcers, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, anxiety, and depression! It affects every organ system, from your nervous system to the skin. Caffeine raises stress hormone levels, inhibits important enzyme systems that are responsible for cleaning the body, and sensitizes nerve reception sites!
Furthermore, coffee beans, like other crops, are grown with chemical pesticides. One insecticide, D-D-7, has been banned in the United States, but is still used by other countries form which we import coffee beans. So every single morning, you are starting your day with a good old dose of poison! Don't believe me ... do some research :)
A much better way to start the day is with a cup of caffeine-free herbal tea-organic, of course! Decaffeinated green tea is what I recommend. It is like a wonder drug. Its anti-aging and antibacterial qualities are as renowned as it's reputation for fighting cancer, combating allergies, and lowering blood pressure!
BE WARE of the words "fat-free" or "low-fat," think of the words "chemical crap storm" Read the ingredients! Always remember that sugar, like coffee, creates an acidic environment in your body! Acidic foods cause your body to produce fat cells. ACIDIC SUGAR= FAT!

The Healthy New "Me"

I am very Excited to begin to blog about this 30 Day journey I have began at the start of this NEW YEAR!! Since I have began working for a Wellness place, my eyes have been opened to the world of "HEALTH". I have had the wonderful opportunity to not only speak to doctors but also Nutritionist concerning foods in general.

Although I have ZERO training in this matter. I have decided to embark on a Healthy New ME in 2010! I would like to share my journey with you as I trudge along in the midst of my journey!
I plan to unload the wealth of knowledge that I am learning through books and people and encourage my friends and FAMILY to get healthy in 2010!

During this time , I plan on retraining my brain, healing my taste buds, and cleansing and detoxifying my body! Yes it may suck a little at times. Chances are there will be times I feel deprived, angry, overwhelmed, and frustrated. But these few, fleeting moments will all be worthwhile!

let us recognize that anything worth having is worth fighting for, Good health, vitality, more energy, more confidence ,etc- you either want'em or you don't! Lets get rid of excuses! You need to value yourself enough to take excellent care of You! Love yourself enough to do whatever it takes to be the best you can be!

When getting rid of TOXIC food... Never feel like or say you are "giving up"! Those words have a negative connotation, like you are sacrificing something. You're not giving up anything! You are simply empowered now and able to make educated, controlled choices about what you will and won't put into your body, your temple!

Always remember to start where it counts... In your HEAD!! We need to be able to understand why we get rid of the junk that we put daily into our bodies before we actually start getting rid of it!! Remember to take it slow and steady! CHANGE IS A PROCESS (at least for me)

Start by picking out a workout you can daily commit too! My recommendation (told to me by my Nutritionist) is Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred!

My husband and I started this workout today!! It kicked my butt and made me feel like I was on the verge of death! This Wonderful workout has 3 levels of Intensity ... Stay with it for 30 Days and YOU will see results!

I also Recommend Drinking Green Tea for the Antioxidant benefits! Not to mention it is wonderful for digestion! I drink 2-3 cups a day (after each meal)

I recommend Green tea (DECAF)

If you need sweetener add Stevia (lemon drop) 2-3 drops per 8 oz cup of water!

I do plan on giving recommendations on what to eat during a "diet" or a "Life Style Change" time! I will also give my big DETOX secret in a about a week! Please begin to eat better, exercise and CLEAN OUT YOUR FRIDGE!!
